When trying to install OpenLNS or OpenLNS CT under Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2012, the installation program might stop responding. In this case, try to activate the "Turn off Windows Installer RDS Compatibility " option.

1. Click Start (or Windows key + R)

2. Type "gpedit.msc" and hit Enter

3. Navigate to:

Computer Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Windows Components >> Remote Desktop Services >> Remote Desktop Session Host >> Application Compatibility

4. Right click on "Turn off Windows Installer RDS Compatibility" Setting and select Edit from the drop down menu

5. Select the Radio Button labelled 'Enable'
6. Click OK

More information about the issue and resolution can be found here (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2655192).

After successful installation, the setting can be set back to the original value.
