An OpenLNS/LNS application shows a DS, #35 error when trying to change the value of a CP or NV (KB 1017)

This error is shown when writing a the value of either a configuration property or a network variable with the wrong format. For instance if the variable or CP has a format of a signed long so only takes scalar values, trying to update the data with a value with decimal points or a structured value will result in the error being raised by LNS
