Do I need to Activate the Echelon Enterprise Services (EES)? (KB1012)

No. EES 2.2 or later, no longer needs an EES License and thus no longer needs to be activated.

Background:

EES 2.0 required an EES license.  If you install EES 2.0 and then immediately upgrade to 2.0 SP4 or later you no longer need to activate and un-activated EES.

EES 2.2 or later no longer has an Red ball Activation command as it is no longer required.
