For diagnostic purposes is to connect a null modem serial cable to the i.LON 600 or i.LON Smart Server and use hyperterminal or some other terminal emulator software such as PUTTY to open a console session to the i.LON. If you type Show at the command prompt this tell you if web access is enabled. If it is enabled then issue the reboot command. Look for any error messages. If you observe an error message that says this:
0x80fd1930 (tBoot): DriverDataTransferer: Timeout waiting for Neuron ready!
0x80fd1930 (tBoot): DriverDataTransferer: Timeout waiting for Neuron ready!
0x80fd1930 (tBoot): DriverDataTransferer: Timeout waiting for Neuron ready!
0x80fd1930 (tBoot): DriverDataTransferer: Timeout waiting for Neuron ready!
0x80fd1930 (tBoot): Driver: ProgrammedIOTransferer: Timeout reading data[0]!
0x80fd1930 (tBoot): Driver: DataTransferer: Timeout waiting for Neuron ready!
// If you are in Bootrom mode
or
If you are not in bootrom mode:
(tShell) Driver: DataTransferer: Timeout waiting for Neuron ready!
Then this is a hardware problem and cannot be fixed with the possible exception of replacing the neuron chip in the ilon. Echelon does not offer repair services.
