IzoT CT Offline Activation (Manual Activation) Video (KB1361)

If your IzoT CT PC has no internet access or can't reach the Echelon/Dialog(Renesas) License Server then you will need to Activate IzoT CT manually.  Manual activation requires you to use the Echelon License Wizard to generate a activation request file (*.elwrq) and send that to the IEC Support team. The IEC Support team will send you an activation response file (*.elwrs) which you will use the Echelon License Wizard to activate the license.

Note to use IzoT CT you will need to activate a both an IzoT CT license and a IzoT Net Server (also called an OpenLNS Server) license for each PC. If you are only using IzoT Net Server then you only need to activate the one IzoT Net Server (also called an OpenLNS Server) license.

Instructions:

1. Generate a license request file (*.elwrq) using the Echelon License Wizard and send it to the IEC Support team

For details see "Manually Activating IzoT Commissioning Tool" step 11 on page 20 [pdf page 36] in the IzoT CT User's Guide on how to activate the licenses.

Run "Start > All Programs > Echelon License Wizard > License Wizard"

In step 1, select Activate product license and click the Next button

In step 2, either select Work offline or if your PC is not connected to the Internet it will be automatically selected and click next.

Once you created the *.elwrq file send it to the IEC support team.

 

2. Activate CT with the response file (*.elwrs) from the IEC support team.


Once you receive the the Activation response file *.elwrs see "Manually Activating IzoT Commissioning Tool" step 11 on page 23 [pdf page 39] on how to activate the licenses.

Run "Start > All Programs > Echelon License Wizard > License Wizard"

In step1, click the yellow "Show Advanced Tasks" link in the Echelon License Wizard

Select "Process a license response file obtained from Echelon", click next and then complete the rest of the Activation process.
