The SmartServer IoT with a single U60 or U70 can be used as a direct replacement for the i.LON 600.
The SmartServer IP-852 and U60 default to repeaters which allows the SmartServer to be used as a direct replacement to the i.LON 600 though the setup instructions are different.
Common uses:
I. i.LON 600 IP-852 Self-install repeating button:

II. i.LON 600 used as a IP-852 Router
The SmartServer with a single U60 or U70 can be used a drop in replacement for the i.LON 600.
- SmartServer Network Configuration page: configure the IP Address to static (recommended) or DHCP.
- SmartServer LON Configuration Web page: Enable IP-852 on the LAN or WAN Ethernet port
- SmartServer System Configuration Web page: click the reboot button

- SmartServer LON Configuration Web page: Click the IP-852 Service pin for LAN or WAN to send the SmartServer IP-852 service pin.
The SmartServer can optionally be used with more than one U60/U70, but if you do so then you will have to add an IP-70 channel and a second router to your network. In this case the SmartServer is not used as a direct replacement for a i.LON 600, instead the SmartServer is used as a multi-port router.
See the SmartServer User's Guide for details for using the SmartServer as a i.LON 600 direct replacement or as a multi-port router.
