If you have any issues with the i.LON 700 then you may want to consider re-imaging the i.LON to use the SmartServer IoT software.
The i.LON 700 and SmartServer IoT use the same hardware, only the software is different. You should update the i.LON 700 to SmartServer IoT 2.90 or 3.1. It is always best to update to the latest SmartServer software supported by the hardware.
If you have i.LON 700 software on the SmartServer then most likely this means this is a dual core SmartServer and can only use 3.1 or earlier releases (like 2.9). If you try to use 3.2+ on a dual core then it can break the SmartServer.
The re-imaging instructions are different between the i.LON 700 software and SmartServer IoT software. So first follow the re-imaging instructions below.
Re-imaging instructions for the i.LON 700 are different then the SmartServer IoT. Note, even after re-image the i.LON to a SmartServer sometimes when you want to re-image again they will follow these instruction instead of the SmartServer IoT Instructions.
Re-Image Instructions:
1. Download and extract the contents of the latest image onto a USB flash drive with atleast 2GB of available space.
