Using GPL for SmartServer FPMs

I have made a few SmartServer FPMs, which I'm considering to make open source, probably using GPL. My question is if there are any restrictions I need to consider, since this work is partially based on the examples provided by Echelon? I plan to put a comment in the source code thanking Echelon, but if anything else is needed, please let me know.

For the Echelon SmartServer example FPM open source distribution replace the old Echelon License in the FPM project example source code files, all the FPM example *.cpp and *.h files, with the new license below.

Old: This may be slightly different for each file .cpp and *.h file
