PL-20 Not Working. SVC Led continuous ON.

Hi,
We had purchased three PL-20 white LON sticks for the application. Out of that one PL-20 device is not working.
The SVC LED is continuous ON when I connect it to the USB port of my personal computer. If I checked it in LonWorks Interface from control panel, it shows the popup window message "There was a problem accessing selected network interface. Error h (7)."
I tried installing the drivers again using OpenLDV.
Please let me know how to recover this error.

It sounds like perhaps somebody managed to reboot the U20 over the network with an old version of NodeUtil. NodeUtil versions starting a few years ago will not let you reboot a 3120-based device over the network (because when you reboot a U20, it forces it to Applicationless with no way to reload it).

Do you use NodeUtil on the networks that this U20 was connected to?

I have the same issue with a Echelon TP/FT-10.

I sent the reset command with NodeUtil 1.82 and now it seems I can not recover the LON stick.

How do I recover this error?

@albertop -- The very old versions of NodeUtil would allow you to reboot any device, including 3120-based devices. That is bad for MIP-based devices like the U10 and U20 USB network interface devices, because when they are rebooted, they go applicationless, and can no longer communicate with their host processor (the PC in the case of the U10/U20). There is no way to recover from this that I know of.

Please be sure to update to the latest version of NodeUtil on Echelon's website. As of a number of years ago, it no longer lets you reboot a 3120-based device.
