Cloning/duplicating type translators

Hello everyone,
I am programming my first Smartservers and I have built templates for the meters I will be reading into the Smartserver. I have built a type translator for the 1st meter and would like to duplicate/clone it for the other 7 meters I have on the Smartserver. I see the duplicate function which seems like it sort of works. I have to delete all my inputs and add inputs from the meter in question, then I have to manually change the output points to match said meter. This isn't horribly bad to do, but wondering if this is the best way and also if it is the correct way to do it.
