Cannot commission device/Application buffer too small

Customer tries to commission an application of our device and gets the error messages #4030 and #86.
Under MANAGE we can see the error message: "Application buffer too small" and as Model number "32" instead of "FT5000".
Another application for same device (same hardware) gets commissioned well. Difference between both applications is the amount of network variables.
Any ideas?
